PROJECT DIRECTOR: Bruce Royer

Teen Advocates for Climate Action offers four program options to engage students in developing 21st Century skills while learning to produce media that advocates for the health of people and the planet. The program includes:

Animate Your Awareness Messages - Students write scripts, produce artwork, and participate in the voice-over for their animated PSAs.
Influence By Design (remote) - Students design eye-catching graphics that empower viewers to break free from the influence of harmful product advertising.

Lights, Camera, Advocacy! Students learn the steps of script-writing, pre-production, production, and post-production to create live-action short films using equipment such as smartphones and tablets.

Speak Out for Climate Action (remote) - Students collaborate to produce podcasts that propose policy changes and strategies that empower listeners to create a healthier environment.

Culmination Celebration – From 2023 - 2030, the campaign will culminate in a virtual festival of student-produced media in categories coinciding with International Earth Day in late April.
